Where Is the “Path To Progress”?

An afterthought now with no mention of pension reform and only more studies and discussions designed to lead either nowhere or somewhere worse for taxpayers.

Here’s one to think about. I wonder if stuff if stuff like this goes on with NJ pensions?
I KNEW it was Filthydelphia before I even opened it because they are the ONLY Public Pension fund in the US under FBI investigation. The fact is ALL of the Public Pension funds today are based upon, and engaged in, fraud. This is benchmark fraud. It is their organized crime “Business Model”. And that is exactly what Public Unions are today, and how they operate with Politicians, as “organized criminal enterprises”. If the Public Unions were Private Equity or Hedge Fund managers doing this they would all be in jail: ala CalTURDS/CalTURDS President (former) Fred Buenrostro and CalTURDS (former) Board Director Alfred Villalobos. Buenrostro went to the Federal Pen for a few years and Villalobos committed suicide rather than going to the Federal Pen for DECADES, but not until Villalobos blew through the $50 MILLION+++!! he scammed out of CalTURDS in fraudulent “fees” for “steering” billions in CalTURDS funds to the Black Stone, Apollo and Carlyle PE/HF Groups (gambling the $50M+ away at Stateline NV casinos). The Politicians are engaged in the exact same fraud as Villalobos and Buenrostro, just on a much more spread out, but significantly larger, scale. Black Stone, Apollo and Carlyle were greasing the CalTURDS wheels with millions $$ in bribes through Villalobos and Buenrostro; CalTURDS itself greases the legislative money tree through campaign bribes contributions. You can call campaign bribes contributions anything you want, but once the $$ starts buying influence it becomes a crime. Reminds me of the old 1980’s Lincoln Savings and Loan mega-fraudster Charles Keating when asked why he donated so much $$$ to the “Keating Five” US Senators, was it to buy influence? Dirtbags reply “I CERTAINLY HOPE SO” 🤮🤮🤮

It sound like he will push for the consolidation of schools, municipal courts, etc

So maybe that means less employees, several positions eliminated, several positions not staffed?

I mean after all, it’s been what 4-5 years that he’s been spouting this and nothing has happened yet

The key is not as much the #’s, but the ridiculous compensation that they pay employees. By way of example, the LOWEST PAID employees in the little Puny Podunk Muni “City” of 30K residents where my Mother lives (So Cal) are the front counter “clerks” at City Hall. These retail counter clerks assist the public who come in and do business with the City for any number of issues (water, utilities, building permits etc.). Their job is no different than what a fast food employee at McD’s or Taco Bell do; except it is much faster paced in the fast food environment. They deal with the public’s needs at the front counter. These front counter retail clerks are making a base salary of $65K and full comp of $110K. The HEAD of these retail clerk Brainiacs, the main manager whose responsibility includes slightly more duties and supervision (but not much more), such as doing the inquiries into Freedom of Information Act requests (in CA called a Public Records Act request), and this person started at the front counter like all the rest, she is making, and this is un-fucking- believable- a base salary of $190K and full comp of $249K. A 1/4 of a million fucking dollars. For a front counter retail clerk supervisor. Oh, did I forget to mention she has no college degree, and her 1/4 of a million fucking dollar Gov workfare job does not require one? The dog catcher of Puny Podunk Muni –$120K in full comp. Front Line GED patrol cops= $200K-$300K in full comp. This is in a Puny Podunk Muni of just 30K people. Harvard Law and Medical School Graduates at the top of their class make less than $200K coming out, and they work TWICE as many hours for that money, 80-100 hours/week… Tell Dougie 🐒 he can go take his bullshit whopper lies that the private sector and public sector make the same in overall comp and go F himself 😺😺😺

Why not consolidate across state lines? Does every state need an insurance dept or can the insurance dept be outsourced or consolidated with another states insurance dept.

NJ could also consolidate tax collections and other activities with DE PA NY or others.

One reason I have doubts about consolidation working is larger organizations need a more talented highly paid staff, and I suspect NJ will not pay salaries high enough for the consolidation plan to work.

As far as schools go, the world and the US education market has changed. Online education and resources, private schools, homeschooling has really changed everything.

My guess would be that they won’t consolidate insurance agencies because at least in NJ the agency owners/brokers make out very well from the public contracts. And to keep it all in NJ limits the competion so al premiums are higher.

    IDK
