And I guess he is going to borrow $5MM or more each year in order to continue making the “full” payment? What a crock of shit this guy is. Windfall “promises” made to public sector employees by crooked politicians to secure the votes and financial support of corrupt unions need to be unwound lock, stock, and barrel. This guy only cares about union assholes who vote for him. I listen to him and all I hear is fuck the private sector taxpayer. Keep paying and STFU. He can go fuck himself.

One might say …………. “there ought to be a law” …………. but there IS a law against borrowing without voter-approval.

It just gets worked-around, in this case by NJ’s also VERY well-pensioned Supreme Court Justices.

Murphy stated that the workers have paid “their full share”.

Well who the heck determined that the worker’s TINY share of a LUDICROUSLY EXCESSIVE Pension (AND Benefits) is even remotely a “fair” share .

Eg., NJ Police ……………. under what crazy definition of “fair” is granting a pension SO GENEROUS* that the Taxpayers share of Total Plan costs (when valued using the same assumptions & methodology required of Private Sector Plans) is 10+ TIMES what Private Sector workers typically get in retirement security contributions from their employers ….. about 4%-of-pay into a 401KPlan ?

    * 65% of final pay after 25 years (usually beginning in their early 50s).

    Off Topic ………….

The is a PensionTsunami headline today as follows ………….

“Cop Collected $600,000 in Disability Pension for a Broken Finger. CalPERS Wants Some Back (column – Wes Venteicher / Sacramento Bee)”

I do not subscribe to the Sacramento Bee, so I cannot open it.

Sounds interesting and relevant to this Board;s discussions. Anybody know the details?

    • Sounds interesting? You need a life. I find astronomy and other educational subjects such as the animal kingdom etc. interesting. Not this. If the cop was defrauding or violating the rules charge him. I’ve called out sick maybe 10 times in 25.5 years? I have no sympathy for disability frauds. Public or private sector. Which we pay for both!! My wife is in medical billing and it is rampant. Probably much more so in the private sector where it is tougher to investigate all of it.
And as a side note: you once told me that it was superfluous to comment on anti policing stories in Portland Seattle MN etc because what do they have to do with Nj. Yet YOU comment on cases jn CA etc….. oh yeah pension tsunami……non biased reporting. Lol.
Pension tsunami and a cops finger. Lol. Interesting. Investigate and charge. That’s their job. Nothing interesting about it.

lol ………… WHY would you find a cop ripping off the Taxpayers “interesting”.

F the “rules”. The ludicrously easy-to-satisfy Police Disability Pension “rules” ARE the problem.

        BS ……………..

My comments wrt Portland Seattle MN discussed the violence directed at Police ….. which is NOT a problem in NJ. THAT was my point.

The ludicrously generous level of Police pensions & benefits IS a problem EVERYWHERE.

        • I concur with your opinion on disability pensions. The bar is set way to low. And should not be given out for injuries that an employee can work through. At my wife’s job, patients cry and whine that they are in pain simply because they don’t want to work. Frauds. They all call up on fridays saying they need more pills. They almost exclusively deal w workers comp cases. Legit injuries is a different story. I don’t begrudge someone that. And I don’t think that we should be trimming someone’s pension who can work, as a paper pusher etc We should never punish someone for working. And make it more worthwhile to sit on the couch watching a price is Right and smoking a joint.
We may disagree on that issue alone, but I am in full agreement about disability pensions and disability fraud in ANY job.

        • And sweetie, we see a limited amount of that crap here because we have the best cops in the country and we keep a lid on that shit. 😉😉

And I remember you getting all offended when You erroneously thought MJ was stating what you should and should not be commenting on. You never answer questions when you know you’re wrong. Instead of admitting that you don’t know etc you simply ask a question back. You’re terribly conceited. Ask anyone on here. In fact ask Bury himself. Lol.

This has been covered by a number of websites:
      Summary:
GED Oakland CA Cop gets “disability retirement” in 2008 in lieu of getting fired, then gets rehired at his prior Federal job at Homeland Security for same type of LEO job, but “forgets” to tell CalTURDS and Oakland about new job. Gets Busted 2016. CalTURDS wants ALL “disability retirement” paid back from Day #1 (2008) of “disability retirement” to present. Court grants CalTURDS payback, but only from 2016 onward, so GE Boi gets fraudulently obtained “disability retirement” $$ for 8 years of fraud… WHY doesn’t Oakland/CalTURDS criminally prosecute the dirtbag???

          • You two should have a Sumu wrestling match. TL if you lose you must accept Trump as your savior sent down by God himself. (A GOP congressman actually believes that—-how stupid) And Rex if you lose, you must listen to TL bitch about Trump for the rest of your life. In person. Or at least read her endless dribble on the subject.
