  1. State and local workers are promised generous DEFINED BENEFIT PENSION PROGRAMS that few private sector companies offer any longer because they are unaffordable. Making matters worse, thanks to complicit politicians, the state and local governments have failed to adequately fund these overly generous DEFINED benefit pensions. The huge unfunded pension liability debt crisis is the inevitable result that younger generations, unable to vote today, that will bear the costs.

Fully funding these pensions is unfair to current hard working taxpayers, so the “consensus” of the courts and current taxpayers is to defer the responsibilities for paying for these overly-generous “Defined retirement benefit” pension programs to younger generations, for them to pay higher taxes and work later into their lives to pay for the promises of previous generations, to subsidize older Americans.

It’s frustrating and appalling that the “courts” are actually saying that future generations will continue to be legally responsible for DEFINED BENEFIT PENSION PROGRAMS established by previous generations! Are the courts really supporting taxation on younger generations without representation?

Hopefully, those “younger generation”, once in sufficient #s, will vote-in Elected Officials who will support THEIR needs, and implement the legal/Constitutional changes to enable reneging on a LARGE share of those NEVER-justifiable (or affordable … or adequately funded by the generations who promised it to THEMSELVES) Public Sector DB pensions.

Yea. And that includes your SS and Medicare right?

They ain’t gonna be voting to take away daddy’s pension. The same daddy who broke his ass paying for their college tuition. Most will inherit something from them and won’t want them eating cat food. Fair or not that is the truth. Not everyone thinks like you….Rex, I mean Ursula, I mean TL.

        • Hahaha…I should be paying you rent El Guapo, for living inside your little mind 🙂

        • Sorry El Gaupo, have to disagree with you here…maybe your kids won’t be voting for the more progressive D candidates but you can bet the rest of the millennials and younger generations will be voting for a more socialistic democracy. Look at that goof ball who was just elected in NY and look at what’s going on in FL—I guarantee in the next few years there will be income tax, higher real estate taxes, etc. etc. and FL will become a cess pool just like NJ. The younger generations know they are screwed and will have to work until they drop dead in order to retire. Most will NOT receive inheritances as their parents are living longer and needing every penny they saved for retirement. They want socialist policies such as universal health care, free university, not only the millennials but all of the welfare queens, illegals, low income all want their social justice and I hate to say it but this generation hates the cops the most…………especially the growing minority communities and influx of various ethnic groups who refuse to integrate into a civilized society and they just hate the cops and feel that they are targeted unfairly

Heck, not to be crude, but I worked with a 20 year old young lady who thought the government should pay for her tampons……….that is literally the mentality, they are outraged that they have to actually “pay” for anything so it will be interesting to see how they will feel about cops retiring with these lucrative pensions and benefits when they will end up with very little especially in light of the new distrust and dislike of the police.

I’ve noticed that as well, and it happens (occasionally)……. just as I noticed that YOU Stephen Douglas/EARTH have ALSO been (occasionally) posting under other handles ….. as you did hear.

Shall we ask Mr. Bury if the above comment came from the SAME IP address that SD/Earth posts come from ?

          • Rex and Seesaw Junior also seem to have the same avatar 🙂
