Law for Lawmakers and Savage Innocents

.
This clip is taken from Nicholas Ray’s The Savage Innocents* which concerns a clash of cultures between the Eskimo and ‘civilized’ man who inhabit two different moral worlds within the same physical area of land, not unlike the governing and the governed in New Jersey where it is:

OK for the governing to break a contract if it’s convenient

Who in the working world would default on their mortgage obligation and not expect repercussions?  In the political world it would be bad form NOT to go the default route. If New Jersey does not have the money to pay for promised pensions the options are to (1) find any excuse not to pay and (2) pretend someone in 2021 will.  Prior to the release of the New Jersey Supreme Court decision in the pension payment case we had a poll here asking what you people thought the decision would be.  Of the 111 votes cast only 13 predicted that the court would allow the state to skip payments.

OK to disregard realities if you find someone else (preferably a political opponent) to blame and can reasonably expect not to get any informed followup questions of your claptrap:

OK to break a law if you get an accountant to do it for you and you are not fiscally astute enough to understand what they are doing

This has to do with something currently going on in Union County and, if interested, here is the story.

* For context here is the ending of The Savage Innocents which includes the quote above:

    Well, I:

    (a) not being a participant in a Plans with pension & benefit promises TYPICALLY 3x-4x (4x-6x for Safety workers) greater in value at retirement that those typically granted Private Sector workers, and

    (b) having no ability to promise myself (or help elect bosses who will so promise me) the Plans described in (a) and

    (c) not being able to bind 3-rd party taxpayers to pay, and who have been ROUTINELY and PURPOSEFULLY lied to as to the need for and cost of such Plans
    ————————————————-
Rightfully find such contracts fraudulent, unjust, invalid, and unenforceable.

Of course, not being an attorney, I may be on shaky legal ground, but now that we have the Courts blessing to rightfully STARVE these unjust plans of the outrageous funds needed to honor the unjust commitments, I feeling more and more comfortable that notwithstanding the legal issues associated therewith, these unjust “promises” will RIGHTFULLY never be honored.

In the immortal words of TL and I quote, “still an idiot” or you if you prefer, “still a moron”. Remember these are your own words.

“”these unjust “promises” will RIGHTFULLY never be honored.”””
Yes they will, and you alllllllllll know it too. Lol. So funny how you all grovel in the thought that these people, hard working people, won’t get what they are owed. Jealousy is rampant on this blog!!!! It’s a cancer.

The “cancer” is the collusion between NJ’s Elected Officials and NJ’s Public Sector Unions, with the latter BUYING the former’s favorable votes (on Public Sector pay, pensions, and benefits) with Campaign contributions and election support.

And this TL….. Whoever SHE is (no man could ever act this way) is the poster child for socialism. She just sits there and hates and stews in her jealousy. It’s so obvious she is inferior and owns 30 cats. Get a life

Your anger at hearing the TRUTH reflects your fear that I’m likely correct …. in that your GROSSLY EXCESSIVE promised pension & benefits are “toast”.

Since about 1999, I have wondered just why on Earth these NJ employees,’hard working people’, accepted empty political promises instead of hard cash?
